Dr Geerthy Thayaseelan

Dr Geerthy Thayaseelan graduated from Griffith University in Queensland in 2018. He commenced his medical internship at Nepean Hospital in NSW, and has also worked at The Alfred, Sunshine and Werribee Hospitals in Victoria spanning 5 years in the areas of Emergency, Trauma and Critical Care Medicine, as well as General Medicine and Paediatrics. Dr Geerthy is currently a GP Trainee/Registrar with the Royal Australian College of General Practice (RACGP) and enjoys all aspects of general practice, and seeing patients of all ages, from all walks of life.

He believes empathy, active listening and communication are essential to quality, holistic patient care. Geerthy has a special interest in Emergency Medicine & Paediatrics, and is currently undertaking a Certificate of Emergency Medicine (EMC) with the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM), as well as a Graduate Diploma of Child Health (GDCH) with Western Sydney University (WSU) & Sydney Children’s Hospital Network (SCHN).
